Our Programs

The Original Program (OP)

The Original Program was the very first program we developed. The artwork is created right in class. The teacher may use one of their own lesson plans, or Original Works will supply appropriate lesson plans (some of which are designed to be completed in just one class session) free of charge.

Once the artwork is completed, the school/organization assembles a Parent Package for each student. The Parent Package includes an envelope, order form, full color brochure and a letter describing the program.

The Parent Packages are sent home along with the student's original artwork. Parents/families who wish to purchase items showcasing their child's very own artwork simply complete the order form and return it with their payment and the original artwork. Since all products are pre-purchased and completely customized, there is no up front inventory and no door-to-door selling required.

The Original Program takes 4 weeks to complete. It is often used by schools/organizations who either do not wish to send the magnet home, or who have run the program before and therefore already know what great quality to expect.

SEE BEFORE YOU BUY (SBYB)

In the See Before You Buy (SBYB) Program the artwork is also created right in class. The teacher may use one of their own lesson plans, or Original Works will supply appropriate lesson plans (some of which are designed to be completed in just one class session) free of charge.

Once the artwork is completed, it is sent to Original Works for production of a custom, full color, 4" x 5" preview magnet. A magnet is made for each piece of artwork submitted.

Within two weeks Original Works sends Family Packages back to the school or organization. The Family Packages contain the preview magnet, product brochure, order form and reply envelope. The packages are also customized to reflect the school or organization name, prices to be charged for the products and the date by which purchases must be made.

Families can purchase the preview magnet, return it with no obligation and/or purchase any of the other items offered. The families simply complete the order forms and return them to the school or organization with their payment. Within three weeks the completed products are delivered to the school ready for distribution. Since all products are pre-purchased and completely customized, there is no up front inventory and no door-to-door selling required.

The SBYB program takes 6-7 weeks to complete. Students and families can see first hand the quality of the reproduction before they make their selection(s). This typically generates a great deal of enthusiasm, and does the best job of showcasing the creativity of the participants.
