COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW AM I COMPENSATED?
Compensation is commission oriented. Commission levels increase as your territory and sales responsibilities grow. A generous bonus structure has also been established to reward sales representatives who achieve pre-established sales milestones.

WHAT TYPE OF FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE?
Typically a territory is assigned in your local area. Based on the development of this initial territory and the commitment you show to Original Works, headquarters will then determine appropriate assignments of additional territory. As your business grows, so too will the opportunities and benefits.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET STARTED?
Once hired, you will be up and running as soon as you have completed your initial Original Works Sales Training. This initial training can be completed in as little as two or three weeks.

WHAT TYPE OF TRAINING WILL I RECEIVE?
After you are hired you will receive a comprehensive Original Works Sales Training Manual. This manual offers everything you need to get started in your selling career at Original Works. After providing you with sufficient time to get acquainted with the manual we will review it with you in detail. This review generally takes place via telephone but if circumstances permit, the training may take place in person.

Once you become more established as a sales representative you will have the opportunity to be considered for admission to OWY University. OWY University is the training division of Original Works, and currently offers intense all expense paid training sessions. These sessions cover a variety of topics ranging from presentation and organizational skills to advanced sales techniques, demographic analysis and business planning. Admission is offered by invitation only and is based upon your level of commitment and development.

In addition to the initial training and that offered by OWY University, you will also receive ongoing support from HQ, a quarterly newsletter with tips and techniques, and the opportunity to attend the annual National Sales Meeting.

WILL I RECEIVE A SPECIFIC TERRITORY?
Yes. Each rep receives a specific and separate territory, including all public, private and preschools in that area.

HOW ARE LEADS GENERATED?
You will be expected to network and develop leads through referrals and by contacting schools in your territory. Conventions and conferences within your territory are also a rich source of leads. When leads for your territory are received by HQ, we will forward them so that you can follow up.

WILL I BE AN EMPLOYEE OF ORIGINAL WORKS?
No. You will be considered an independent sales representative. However, you will work closely with your Regional HQ manager. This person will become your link with Original Works in providing motivation, training and assistance with questions or problems.

WHAT TYPES OF COSTS WILL I INCUR?
Typical costs you will incur include phone, local travel, personal office supplies, postage, etc. Original Works supplies all marketing materials (brochures, coordinator guides, business cards, etc.) necessary to promote the program. Each year we also provide a complete set of sample products that can be used in presentations or loaned to schools. Original Works also provides display booths and support materials for all conventions, and typically pays the convention fee for one state convention for each sales representative each year.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for bright, energetic individuals. Experience in fundraising and/or field sales is a plus but is not required. You will need to be willing to devote a minimum of 15-20 hours per week to Original Works.

WHAT DO I DO NEXT?
If you find this to be an interesting and intriguing opportunity, we would like to hear from you. Simply mail, fax or e-mail a copy of your resume and cover letter to us here at headquarters. Once we have received your resume, we will contact you to begin the interview process.
