I
was hundreds of miles from home having dinner with an old
friend when I noticed and admired the tote bag
she had brought along for her children. I learned she
had coordinated her own school’s Original Works program, and I knew then
I would convince my own elementary school to participate, and that I would
become a representative.
Eight years later, I find myself managing a very productive territory. As our
children have grown older and more independent, I’ve been able to focus
more time and energy into my business. I now work with over 100 schools each “season.” I’ve
established personal relationships with many of my customers, and I’ve
enjoyed progressing through Original Works’ career path.
I’ve always felt comfortable in the role of facilitator. Over the years,
I have helped others find employment, empowered women to take leadership roles,
and helped influence legislation. OWY is a natural outlet for me. I help my
customers reach their goals through our programs. In turn, I assist my sales
reps in reaching
their goals. My work is challenging and fulfilling, and the income has helped
our family justify the purchase of a second home on the water.
