Tile Wall Border and Tile Murals
See How Schools Became Creative With Our Tile Fundraising Program
As you can see, a wall full of artwork tiles is something pretty special. However, the options for displaying our tiles are only limited by imagination. As proof of that, take a look at what these two schools have done.
Hall Borders
Rather than develop a complete floor to ceiling wall, this Florida school created a tile border down the hall. By placing all of the tiles at eye level, each student’s artwork could be easily viewed. In addition, notice what they did by periodically placing blank tiles with words such as “Paint,” “Draw,” “Hop” and “Skip,” throughout the wall.
Office Murals
As part of a main office renovation project, this school decided to create tile murals along the front of the newly installed desk/counter. If you look closely you can see that each artwork is actually it’s own individual mural that is composed of four 4 ¼” tiles. The individual “artwork murals” are then combined into a larger mural panel, which is framed and hung on the front of the desk/counter. A total of five such frames were developed and hung during the Spring of 2009.
