Meet Jamie Porter
Finance & HR Department
Jamie Porter has been an important part of our team here at Original Works for the last 5 years, most recently as a key member of our Finance & HR Administration Department.
This is actually Jamie’s second time working at Original Works. The first was several years ago when she worked seasonally in our manufacturing department while attending college. After finishing school and working locally, Jamie and her husband started a family, where Jamie transitioned into her favorite role – as mom to 2 young children.
Fast forward a few years, and with both children in school, Jamie was searching for a way to productively use her time during the school day.
Luckily for us, one day Jamie ran into another Original Works employee who told Jamie we were hiring, and the rest as they say is history.
While Jamie enjoys many aspects of her job in Finance & Administration, it is the people she works with that she enjoys the most. To her, they are like having a second family. The ability to flex her hours to be with her children is a real plus, not to mention that as a parent she gets to appreciate our products first hand when her children’s school participates in the Original Works program each fall.
When not working, Jamie enjoys attending sporting events, concerts, camping, and curling up with a good book. However, at the very top of her list is the time she spends with her husband and two children. As she puts it, “They are my world and keep me busy on a daily basis with all of their extracurricular activities.”
