Crazy Cool Creatures Lesson Plan

Encourage students to visualize and create their own wild creature. 

1. Invent a wild creature—combine real animals or make it up completely.
2. Draw the outline in pencil. Practicing shapes.
3. Use bright colored paints, markers or crayons (2–3 colors max for big impact)
4. If using paint, once dry, outline the creature in black marker.
5. Fill the background with color or patterns. Fill the entire sheet of paper

Tip: Make sure body parts don’t go off the edge—center the creature!
