Each year the students at Freedom 7 create art projects, that the school then commemorates by displaying in a tile wall. As an outdoor school in Florida, it’s nearly impossible to hang paper artwork because of the humidity, so the Tile Wall program was a perfect match. Current art teacher, Melanie Weilmuenster says, “It is an amazing wall that adds so much more color to the building,” and we couldn’t agree more!
St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner, so what better time to connect with Original Works Stand Out Teacher, Kathy Barbro, who is sharing with us a Lesson Plan perfect for the holiday on March 17th. Ms. McDonald is active on social media and online. Her blog, Miss Bright Blue Hue chronicles her life as an art educator. She posts everything from lessons taught in her class to her outfits that she wears daily.
